One of my favourite late summer and autumn flowers is the Dahlia, we are coming to the end of their season now as winter swiftly approaches but I still wanted to celebrate their beauty. A native flower of Mexico and their national flower since the 1960’s it comes in a glorious range of colours from delicate pastels and creams including everyone’s favourite the Café au Lait to vibrant deep reds and purples; a single flower head can grow as large as 30 cm wide. A truly versatile flower that looks great en masse on its own or mixed with a variety of other flowers. What they lack in scent they make up for in colour and size.
Here is a small selection of some of my favourite beautiful dahlia wedding bouquets.
