Inspirational photo shoot modern colour pop reception details

As well as our fabulous laser cut paper instalation for the ceremony we also set up a reception table scene. I was keen to show that you can have a very minimal look on your tables that is sophisticated and glamourous. I used a combination of colourful graphic menus by Beyond Beyond and perpex place cards and table number by Cutture. For the bold pop of colour the florists Wildabout used tightly packed cubes of carnations.

An easy way to tie in your colours is to have a signature cocktail-how about a rasberry cooler?

Cakes by Krishanthi designed 2 fabulous modern cakes that picked up on the Cutture paper elements. I chose to dispaly them on glass vases to give a clean contemporary look.

For our bride’s second look we used the Bobbi Dazzler, a cute and very affordable dress by Kitty & Dulcie accessorised by this stunning silver headpiece by Kirsten Goss-if you are looking for some great modern jewellery I highly recommend you take a look at their collections.

Our groom was dressed by bespoke suit maker Delvero, Italian ateliers based in London who make all their suits maid to measure. We had two looks for our groom, a silk lined modern tuxedo and a three piece dark navy suit.

As the day drew to a close we changed our bride into her final look with this elegant twobirdsbridemaids dress in custom silver, a great option if you are thinking of changing your dress in the evening.

So there you go a modern take on weddings, minimal decor but strong colours that pack a punch.

Next time I’ll be sharing a little behind the scenes video from the day…
