WINTER WEDDING IN LONDON

From Pie and Mash to the London Eye: Sarah and Megan’s Unforgettable Wedding Day

When Sarah and Megan first told me of their pretty long list of challenges my reaction was very much: As a big fan of creative problem solving, these two had me at “we live in America, we can’t come and choose the venue in person, and we want to get married in London during Twixmas – that period between Christmas and New Year when everything is closed.” Thankfully, after over a decade living in and planning weddings in London, I quickly had a great shortlist of venues for them that they knew they could trust and choose from. When it came to the design of the day it was all about giving their loved ones a real taste of London, so we had great fun planning a full day of experiences for their guests. From a meaningful ceremony followed by typically British pie and mash, to a trip on the London eye and evening meal surrounded by fairy lights – it felt just like a big family get together. With Sarah and Megan’s wedding design, it was about creating something that was much more valuable than anything they could buy. We gave them and their families memories that they will always look back in with so much love and happiness.
