Proving that the best things in life are worth waiting for, Georgie and Scott’s Dartmouth House wedding was postponed twice before they finally locked in a date. It was definitely worth the wait, though, as their colourful London spring wedding was a beautiful celebration of love and friendship.
Romantic, Nature-Inspired Spring Wedding in London

When Scott proposed to Georgie in a meadow field, it was clear that he had created the perfect storybook romance. When the time came to design their wedding day, it’s no surprise they wanted a theme to honour their love story. And is there a better way to achieve that than by using the meadow flowers that inspired Scott’s proposal?
Mirror Mirror London provided Georgie with a wedding dress that felt like it was tailored just for her. It was simple yet elegant; classic but playful; everything she wanted at once! She looked radiant as she walked down the aisle in her beautiful gown.

Georgie got ready at her father’s home and he drove her to the wedding venue in his vintage Ferrari.

The venue was Dartmouth House, an incredible Georgian mansion in the heart of Mayfair. It’s an elegant setting, with a beautiful courtyard garden and plenty of places for guests to hang out.

Colourful London Wedding Details that Surprise and Delight

Georgie and Scott’s colourful London wedding ceremony was held outside in the wonderful Courtyard at Dartmouth House on a gloriously sunny spring day. The celebrant was Perfect Words Ceremonies, who helped ensure their ceremony was truly personal to them as a couple. They were very excited to have someone who could honour the spirit of their relationship and make the ceremony true to them.
Their friends and family who had waited too long to share their day were happy to be finally there to witness the special moment when they exchanged vows, and rings, and said ‘I do”.

Their florist was Joanne Truby Floral Design, who created lush arrangements with bright pops of colour and a romantic feel. She beautifully translated the meadow-inspired vision in their bouquet, buttonholes, and centrepieces.
As the focal point for the ceremony, I wanted an abundant garland to cascade from the fountain flanked by the meadow arrangements. Joanne created the most perfect backdrop for the vows.

Georgie and Scott’s photographer was Sharron Gibson Photography. She captured their May wedding in London with her signature style – soft lighting and a dreamy feel. And finally, Storyboard Weddings documented their day with a video that perfectly captured the emotion.
The cake designer, Sugar Plum Bakes, created a simple and elegant buttercream cake adorned with beautiful meadow flowers.

Scott and Georgie wanted to include some of their favourite elements from their life together including their love of travel in their on-the-day wedding stationery. A good friend of the groom who is a textile designer created a hand-painted world map table plan, individual country place names and menus with watercolour illustrations – and guests received a packet of meadow seeds as favours – so many unique details helped make this day incredibly special.

Georgie and Scott’s colourful London wedding was a celebration of love and life, and I was very honoured to be a part of it. They are the kind of couple who bring out the best in everyone around them. I know their marriage ceremony will be remembered as one of the happiest days of their lives.
