In essence, it is important to know the wedding planner process. However, have in mind that this can slightly vary from one planner to the next. That is why I have decided to share my steps in the process of creating a unique and fabulous big day from the moment your date is booked into my diary!
Kick-off meeting
A kickoff meeting – it is imperative to have this meeting so we can talk about your overall vision of the day. I will walk you through the wedding planner process and we can get started on the right track. I’ll also use this call to show you how your personal online planning portal works as this is where all key info for your wedding, from supplier contacts and budget tracking to the guest list, table plans and more, will be kept during the wedding planning. Also, we will have regular phone calls and/or meetings on Zoom. This way you can track our progress and be up to date with all the wedding plans.
Your perfect wedding venue
A big part of the wedding planning process is to save you plenty of time, especially when it comes to your dream location. Finding the perfect venue requires hours and days of searching, which you don’t have to do when I’m by your side. The wedding venue sets the tone for the entire day, so it holds great importance. Thus, my speciality includes delivering excellence when it comes to the venue-choosing process.
Creating the vision
The concept and the design are as equally important as the planning of your wedding day as this is where we can really inject your personality into the day. What a wedding planner does is get to know you and what you want for your day. If you don’t have a clear vision at this stage, that’s okay. This is where I step up and create a concept that reflects your personalities and tastes. A design concept that includes mood boards and design ideas for each part of the day that will create a cohesive feel throughout every detail of your wedding. And as an added bonus I will hand draw concept illustrations of your designs so you can really understand the vision and together we can make changes until you’re happy with the overall look.
Details and logistics
With my extensive network I know a long list of incredible suppliers. They are at mine (and your disposal) in the process of delivering all the wonderful finishing touches for your big day. Often though, one of the most time consuming aspects of wedding planning is the sheer amount of admin and emails that occur as you source and confirm all your suppliers and keep them updated on the plans. With me as your wedding planner, the logistics are an aspect you won’t have to worry about – I have that under control too!

Time to celebrate – enjoy the wedding celebration that was tailored to your wishes! As a wedding planner, I make sure your day has a seamless flow of events by coordinating all your supplier team for a smoothly run day. This gives you the freedom to relax and have the time of your life with your loved ones!
