Today I’m sharing with you the lovely summer wedding I designed and coordinated at London wedding venue Dartmouth House. On a lovely summers day in July Claudia and Don were joined by an international guest list that included guests from Canada, New Zealand as well as Europe.
Having already made a great start with the planning their summer wedding at Dartmouth House, I was brought in to help with the overall design of the day, help them keep on top of the planning with regular meetings and to coordinate the wedding on the day.
The elegant Long Drawing room at Dartmouth House is mint green so to complement the room we went with a peach and navy colour palette with touches of copper. Claudia wanted to be surrounded by flowers all day so with some clever moving around the different rooms we made full use of all the flowers throughout the day.
After the summer wedding ceremony in the Churchill Room guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the outdoor courtyard accompanied by a string quarter while Claudia and Don had their portraits taken in the nearby iconic Bloomsbury square. Guests then enjoyed a delicious three-course meal followed by speeches in the Long Drawing room.
The happy couple recently sent me a lovely thank you card:
“We cannot believe it has already been over 6 months since we got married and we still feel so many emotions when we look back. Thank you so much for everything you did to make the day so perfect! Your input was so valuable and the day could not have gone so well without you. I’m sure you’ve seen the photos – they are beautiful! We wish we could repeat the day, perhaps we’ll do a 10-year vowel renewal, in which case we’ll definitely need to hire your services again!! Much love and many thanks again.”
