Last December, I had the absolute pleasure of coordinating Natasha and Simon’s beautifully stylish wedding. It was a day full of character, creativity and personal touches—starting with a heartfelt ceremony at the historic Foundling Museum, followed by a fun and relaxed reception at the 20th Century Theatre in Notting Hill Gate.
Set in the heart of Bloomsbury, The Foundling Museum is a truly special spot for a London wedding ceremony. Steeped in history and art, it’s an elegant Georgian building that once formed part of the UK’s first children’s charity and public art gallery. Its beautifully curated rooms are full of period detail, dramatic paintings and a quiet sense of grandeur, offering a meaningful and atmospheric setting for saying your vows. For couples looking for a venue with depth, beauty and a story to tell, The Foundling really is a gem.
Natasha and Simon’s ceremony took place in the opulent Picture Gallery, its walls lined with historic artworks that added such richness and romance to the setting. Their wedding had a subtle Art Deco vibe running through it, from Natasha’s chic vintage-inspired dress to the carefully chosen details throughout the day. It was elegant but never fussy, personal, relaxed, and full of warmth.
The incredible photography is by Tyson Benton, who captured everything so beautifully. There were so many gorgeous images that I’ve split this wedding into two blog posts. In this first one, you’ll see the getting ready moments, the ceremony at The Foundling Museum, and some fab portraits taken around London on what turned out to be the most perfect sunny winter’s day.
Keep an eye out for part two, coming soon, with all the reception details and evening celebrations.
There’s something undeniably romantic about a Foundling Museum wedding, the sense of history, the stunning architecture, and the way it quietly elevates a ceremony into something unforgettable.
