A design for an elegant wedding at Botleys Mansion

An Elegant Wedding at Botleys Mansion

Following my last post on Serena & Matt’s Botleys Mansion Wedding I thought I’d share with you a little about its elegant design. As part of my partial planning service Serena asked me to help her with the overall design concept for the day. After discussing their wedding in more detail and asking them to fill out my design questionnaire I put together 2 colour and style boards for their wedding day. The final board (above) was the look Serena and Matt chose to go for. They were then able to send the mood board to their key suppliers working on the look of the day, stationer Louise Richardson, florist Roseburg  and cake maker Le Papillion Patisserie to help guide them in their design choices for the big day.

In the main reception at Botleys florists Roseburg created a fabulous focal point with this memory tree which had mini framed photos of Serena and Matt’s closest friends and family hanging from its branches and at its base.

The wedding flowers included metalina, amnesia and quick sand roses in shades of antique pink, lilac, blush and cream, astrantia, scabiosa and gypsophila for the bouquets and the same combination of roses and trailing ivy for the crystal candelabra at the dinner tables.

A close friend of Serena’s with very good contacts at a flower wholesaler also gifted a large number of roses to the couple; I arranged these in little vases around the candelabras. These also doubled up as favours for the guests to take home at the end of the night.

All the stationery items for the day were bespoke designs by Louse Richardson based around family trees and important places in the couple’s relationship. (You can just see the table plan in the photo of the wishing tree above)
