A Summer Wedding In London
In my last blog post I looked at the beautiful wedding of Rosie and frank at St Etheldreda and Stationers’ Hall in the City of London and today I wanted to share with you the design and look of the day.
As Rosie had already chosen her venue and fabulous Ian Stuart wedding dress in a taupe I put together a couple of colour palette options and looks that would work with the dress rather than fight them and Rosie chose to go with this white and taupe with touches of lavender and blush colour palette.
Her beautiful bouquet was made up of blousy pale peonies and lilac roses and a touch of lavender that perfectly complemented her taupe wedding dress. Her six bridesmaids wore lovely lavender dresses with pretty bouquets of sweet peas, freesias, roses and lavender-they smelt divine!
The great hall at Stationers Hall is fabulous space but Rosie was concerned about it being dark with its heavy wood tables and chairs so we went with lots of light flowers and white linen to help brighten the space and the pretty stationery by Hello Lucky! added subtle hints of pale pink to complement the grey table runners.
Rather than have a traditional wedding cake the happy couple went for a macaron tower by the wonderful Anges de Sucre in 5 delicious flavours and colours that perfectly complemented the day’s colours.
