A Summer Wedding In London
On a very hot July day in the City of London Rosie and Frank tied the knot at the beautiful St Etheldreda’s Church followed by a joyful reception for family and friends at Stationers’ Hall.
Rosie first got in touch with me 3 months before their wedding; they’d chosen their wedding venues and the dress the year before but between work and moving cities they suddenly realised there was a lot more to do and not much time left to do it. We quickly put a plan of action together and I got to work sourcing a crack team of suppliers for them.
With 6 bridesmaids in the bridal party and mums and aunties too, I recommended fabulous makeup artist Ana Ospina to carry out her airbrush magic (and it really was magic-despite being one of the hottest days of the year all the ladies still looked immaculate at the end of the day) and hairstylist Yuki from Love Hair.
The catholic wedding ceremony was held at St Etheldreda’s Church. Liz from Blue Sky Flowers dressed the church beautifully with 2 large pedestal arrangements & pretty hydrangea pew ends that we later used at the reception venue.
After the ceremony guests had the option of either walking or catching a red Routemaster bus to Stationers Hall where they were greeted by the dulcet tones of Quattro String Quartet in the courtyard.
The Wedding breakfast was served family style in the Great Hall so the guests could help themselves from a selection of delicious meat and vegetarian curries. After the very moving and funny speeches the bride and groom cut the cheese tower cake then danced the night away.
